(4.1.09) Happy New Year to everyone!! It's going to be a busy one!
1. The weekly time-table will commence once again next week (WB 12.1.09). This week we will be looking at the children's food projects and handing out certificates like last term. We will also be looking at storyboarding, screenwriting, and the relationship between writing and films in preparation for the movie 'Coraline'. In maths we will be focusing on areas that need reinforcement on the evidence of the end of term assessment plus subtraction. 2. Don't forget to look at this term's 'passion' time-table to check when it is your turn. The children seemed to like their gifts last term - phew! Which reminds me! May I take this opportunity to thank you all for all the wonderful Christmas gifts! Thanks to the class reps for asking what I wanted. They were all perfect. 3. Class Reps - Can we meet later this week please!? 4. Don't forget that there will also be a maths page with ideas and advice this term. There will also be activities recommended for and by the children. 5. The homework project topic for this half-term is 'Weather'. Further details with you soon. 6. Please see attached right (see info) a copy of this half-term's sentence sheet (3 of 6). These sheets are highly recommended throughout Year 5 and 6. 7. Copies of the autumn end of term maths assessment will be with you soon. 8. More work and info has been added to the Writing Workshop. 9. Keep those 'Pringles' tubes coming in!! NB: Please find links to last term's 5W pages to the left of this page.
