(4.1.09) Sentence Sheets - Please find attached right; copies of 3 sentence type sheets. These sentences are taught in class but we recommend that they are reinforced at home too to ensure consistency.
(14.12.08) Assessment - This week each child should bring home with them their times-table and spelling test results. Soon they will also bring home a copy of their end of term maths assessment for your viewing. Please bear in mind that this assessment is levelled for the average Year 5 pupil and so if a good score is produced it probably means that your child is working at a higher than average level for maths on the whole. Please feel free to aid your child in any areas that have any shortcomings.
As far as the spelling test is concerned, a score of 75% or more is ideal. We suggest that mis-spelt words should be worked on separately and independently in the coming months. There will be no further test on these words as we want to continue expanding their spelling skills and vocabulary in the Spring term.

Our day out at Wembley!!
(3.12.08) Details and more photos to follow.
Read the RFU's report of the day at Wembley here.

We've got the tickets!!!

Blimey! Where do we go now!

Come on St. Michael's!

We played two games. The first game we won 7 tries to 1. The second game we think the score was 7-4 to the other side who were obviously well ahead of us in match practice.
Anyway, the experience of playing on the Wembley pitch was the real winner and some of our children can now truthfully say that 'they scored at Wembley!'

What a day??
