Children start nursery in the autumn following their 3rd birthday. There are 26 children in the morning nursery and 26 in the afternoon. The times are 8.45am until 11.45am, and 12.45pm to 3.45pm. Parents and carers are welcome to come into the nursery from 11.35am and 3.35pm to talk with staff about their child's experience that day. There is a staggered entry to nursery in the autumn. The staff arrange home-visits and children start nursery following their visit. Our theme this term is "Growing". We have looked at lifecycles through the development of frogs and butterflies, and will now be focusing on human growth. After half-term our activities will centre on planting seeds and gardening.
