Spellings

Spellings are usaully given out on a Thursday by the Ruth Miskin Litearcy (RML) group leaders.  Spelling tests could take place any day from Monday to Thursday morning.  When writing weekly spellings

➢   LETTERS should aim to be
-    the right way round (common reversals include a, b, d, j)
-    the same size
-    the tall letters should be tall (b,d,f,h,k,l,t)
-    the letters that go below the line should go below (f, g, j, p, q)

Children should aim to spell the words on the High Frequency List correctly.  A printable version of this can be found on the right side of this page in the Homework section.

Maths homework

This is usaully given out on a Friday and should be returned on Monday.  Certificates will no longer be awarded for returned homework.  The homework would normally cover the planned maths topic for the following week.

Reading books

Reading scheme books are usaully exchanged on a Tuesday and  Friday . Children are normally given the opportunity to change their self chosen books on a daily basis.
