Music

Music is part of the school curriculum, but additional clubs and tuition is available for those who want to go further.

One of the ways children can receive further music tuition at school is through the Haringey Music and Performing Arts Centre.  Children will be taken out of class for either, one to one, or shared lessons, for instruments including guitar, violin or piano.  For more information and the ability to apply online, click haringey music link.

Infants and Music

Some of the children in year one and two took part in their own music assembly on July 11th.  These children have been taking lessons within school over the past year in recorder and violin (other instruments did not play at this time).  There were solo performances from the violinist who on occasion were accompanied by their teacher.  The recorders, led by Nancy, started as a large ensemble.  As well as group performances, there were also many solo pieces. The group slowly dwindled down to a final duet.  It is amaziing how well these infants can play an instrument.
