Using Word to format a document. Use this document to practice different layout and formatting tools. Centred paragraph The keyboard shortcuts listed below work in all recent versions of Word. Only some work in other word-processors and applications, though many are generic so worth giving them a try. Right aligned paragraph Basic functionality is much the same between different word-processors but is often found in different places and with different options. Justified paragraph To change and format a document you either need to position the cursor at a point where you want to make a change, or select some text. Do this with the mouse. Click and drag over text to select (keep the left mouse button pressed to do this). You can move words and blocks of text around by selecting them and dragging them to a new position. Try this by getting the next line of words into the right order (1 to 5). five three one four two
